Rick Milne & Frank Parker receive Paul Harris Fellow Award!
Caliche, Ltd. is proud to congratulate Mr. Richard B. Milne, Jr. and Mr. Frank M. Parker, III for receiving the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow award on Thursday, March 3, 2016. The presentation of Paul Harris Fellow recognition is The Rotary Foundation’s way of expressing its appreciation for a substantial contribution to its humanitarian and educational programs. It is named for the founder, Paul Harris, a Chicago lawyer who started Rotary International with three business associates in 1905. It is because of gifts like the ones made in Mr. Milne’s honor that The Rotary Foundation is able to carry out an array of programs that achieve beneficial changes in our world: improved living conditions, increased food production, better education, wider availability of treatment and rehabilitation for the sick and disabled, new channels for the flow of international understanding, and brighter hopes for peace. Rick Milne joins a remarkable company of persons throughout the world, all recognized for their devotion to the ideal of good will, peace and understanding. He has provided his expertise and time in joint efforts that support and contribute to the betterment of our community. These efforts consisted of the construction of a raptor cage for Friends of Texas Wildlife, and the design/implementation of a wheel chair accessible swing at Unity Park, Magnolia, TX. Mr. Parker is a three time recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow award. His service to the Rotary includes being a past President, serving as Foundation Chair, and currently Vice Chair of the Grant Program. Frank Parker has been to Nicaragua two times with Rotary to evaluate the progress of several projects supported by Rotary International. These include layettes for babies, water wells, trade schools, and medical facilities.
